Pledge of Allegiance.

Yesterday I attended a Township Officer training in Moorhead. As we do with all Township functions, we began by saying the Pledge of Allegiance.

As we recited the Pledge, I thought about how rarely I say the Pledge as an adult- it seems it only happens at Township meetings. I think it is good to focus for a minute on the big picture- our nation and our freedoms before we begin. A chance to reflect on how these meetings are a method of carrying out the constitution and our country's ideals rather than the individual issues.

It gave a me brief flash of pride in our flag and what it stands for.
