Today I sketched Ed. I had to wake him up in the middle of the sketch because he had nodded off, and I couldn't see his profile very well. Ed is in his 90's. When I was finished, he told me I didn't get the nose right. (I thought it was pretty accurate.)
I added some tone to the background, just to see how it would change the sketch. What do you think?

no background lends a softer touch to it. very nice jan. he looks familiar too.
yeah, the sketch is fuller (?) with the background added.
i wonder if he remembers his 30 year old nose, rather than this 90 year old version. :)

This is too funny Jan. This looks just like Ed Maki that was from Menahga back when I lived there. Looks great!
