Fall plowing.

Buppa was plowing the field next to us, so he pulled in and plowed up our garden patch this evening. This is the beginning of our prep for next year's garden.
There is some black dirt there, but lots of sand underneath. We will haul in some manure to add nutrients.
He dug up sod. You can see the roots. Now we will go over it with some smaller implements- as the furrows from this plow are pretty deep.

Wish I was there to smell it! There is nothing like the smell of freshly plowed soil!
