My boys are young 4-Hers, so they qualify as "cloverbuds." They can bring projects to the fair, but receive a participation ribbon. They are gaining the experience of doing a project and meeting with a judge without as rigorous of expectations.

Here is Sam with his egg carton rock collection. He loves to collect rocks, so this was a fun project for him.

Ted was inspired by a book from the library about making paper mache monsters. He made a paper mache lizard. It has a coat hanger wire armature, lots of wadded up newspaper and tape, covered with flour and water paste and more newspaper. Complete with marble eyes and shark teeth, I think it looks rather neat. Ted seemed happy with his project.

Love the monster! And Sadie's dress below! Shannon is learning to hand sew and loving it. I should really look into 4H around here...that'd be fun for the kiddos.
