The veena is a stringed instrument from South India. Kind of like a guitar, but different. And the fretboard is made of beeswax and iron filings.
We went to a free program put on by the library (remember the legacy funding we voted on here in MN?) Sadie spotted the poster and really wanted to go. To encourage this type of behavior, I brought her and the boys. It was really interesting- I learned as much as the kids did.

Very cool. I love that she was curious so you brought her. I need to make myself do that sort of thing more often.
