Flood Effects.

The effects of the flooding Red River in Fargo/Moorhead has spread our way.

A hospital in Fargo is being evacuated, and some patients are being sent this direction. Ron was called into work yesterday afternoon and went back this morning. They are receiving patients evacuated from Fargo. Ron says all the area nursing homes have received residents evacuated from that area as well. We are happy for the extra hours after the cuts made several weeks ago, and it feels like our family is able to do a tiny part for those in the flood.

Kids from our high school went to help sandbag yesterday.

There is some more info regarding flood here.

Locally there is still plenty of water. There are still flooded roads. I thinkthe recent cold temps (it is 9 degrees here right now) have helped slow melt down (or prolonged it?) and yes, we have fresh snow on the ground now, too. Spring is sure taking it's time!
